It is granted to a foreigner who receives monthly pension provided externally by a Government, Entity or Private Company, in a quantity equivalent to minimum 10 legal monthly salaries. REQUIREMENTS • Valid Passport with at least 3 available pages and good for at least a minimum of 3 months. • Two (2) copies of the passport, including the information pages as well as all used (stamped) pages. • Visa Application Form fully signed and completely filled out in duplicate. • Two (2) recent taken color passport-type photographs (1.5"x1.5"). • Original of the certification issued by the official entity, government or private company, recognized by the respective government that pays the pension. It must be translated into Spanish, authenticated by the respective Consular Office and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to the norms established by the Civil Procedure Code or APOSTILLE when corresponded. 6. Consular Fee $175 (Nations Exempt: South Korea , Spain , United States , and Japan ). NOTES • Applicant is required to appear in person at the consulate's office either when submitting the documentation or when the approved visa is ready for pick-up. No exceptions. • Documents MUST be translated into Spanish and notarized by a Notary Public and must be certified with an APOSTILLE from the Secretary of State of the state where it were issued.
